Doug Spindler

Doug Spindler has had a long career in the IT industry as a consultant, subject matter expert, writer, researcher, presenter and college professor. After graduating from UC Berkeley and having earned a master's degree Doug has worked for UCSF Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, US Navy, Raytheon Technologies Intelligence and Space, Wellstar, Avanade and other technology companies.

As a speaker, Doug has given technical presentations around the world including at Microsoft’s TechEd, and ISCA’s Regional and National conferences. As a college professor, Doug has taught computer networking, Server Administration, cyber-security, and Digital Forensic Investigations. He has mentored hundreds of students and been the student faculty advisor for student cyber-security competitions. Twice Doug’s students received first place wins in the US Cyber Challenge and letters of recognition from the President of the United States, Doug has managed Cybersecurity Training programs in the US, Europe and Quatar.

I am proud to be a professor at Calbright helping students to advance in their careers and change lives. Having worked 40+ hours a week while attending college I am proof it can be done. It’s not easy, but the reward is worth it. I am here to help.
