Gloria Gonzalez

Dr. González has over 25 years of experience in education, including 15 years of experience teaching in-person and online courses and 10 years teaching asynchronous online courses. She has served as a public health advisor and the Co-Chair of the Community of Practice Community Health Workers Workgroup convened by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is the founder and CEO of a consulting firm that specializes in education issues and evaluation/research. Her extensive work with community colleges includes: work-focused experiential learning to increase student retention; faculty communities of practice to transform education; and faculty professional development to support student-centered instruction and faculty grantsmanship. Gloria was born and raised in California, and began her educational journey at a California community college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley and a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Sociology from UCLA.
