Sarah Jimenez
Interim VP of Marketing, Communications, and Outreach

Sarah Jimenez is the Interim Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Outreach for Calbright College. Sarah’s background in communications and public policy comes from nearly two decades working for California and Capital-based organizations. She’s passionate about ensuring clear, quality information is presented in engaging ways for a variety of audiences so they are able to make informed decisions about their lives and communities.

She started with Calbright College as the Director of Communications in January 2025. Previously she led communications, voter outreach, and legislative advocacy campaigns with organizations including the California Health Care Foundation, California Budget & Policy Center, Paschal Roth Public Affairs, and the County Welfare Directors Association of California. Storytelling has always been at the center of Sarah’s professional and personal life, with her early career starting as a reporter for The Fresno Bee, covering the communities she grew up in and around.

Sarah is pursuing an MBA from California State University, Sacramento, and she holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in print journalism and gender studies from the University of Southern California. She is a proud Fresno County and Central Valley native, and serves on the boards of La Familia Counseling Center in Sacramento and the California Press Foundation.
