Ted Lai serves as the Interim Vice President of Student Services and Success for Calbright College. He held the Vice President role previously from April 2021-June 2023. He is a veteran educator and administrator who has worked across K-20 classrooms and higher education institutions in Rosemead, Temple City, Fullerton, Cerritos, and Saigon, Vietnam. Most recently, he was the Director of Digital Learning and Innovation at the International School Ho Chi Minh City, where he led digital learning across two schools and collaborated on projects throughout the Cognita Asia region on AI, 1:1 learning, and innovation in general. He also spent about a decade as an Education Leadership Executive with Apple Inc., supporting innovation and instructional change in K20 institutions across the country. A Human-Centered Design and Futures Thinking specialist, Ted has collaborated with local, regional, nationwide, and international organizations on their vision and program implementation. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Pomona College and a master’s in educational technology from Azusa Pacific University. He was honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2003. He and his wife happily live with their two daughters, son-in-law, and grandson.
